Can Tho calls for initiatives on climate change adaptation | Welcome to Vietnam

Can Tho calls for initiatives on climate change adaptation | Welcome to Vietnam

A seminar calling for initiatives from young people to cope with climate change opened in Can Tho City on May 12.
Jointly held by Challenge to Change, a non-governmental organisation of the UK, and the Co-ordination Office for Climate Change in Can Tho, the seminar aims to provide and collect information on climate change and encourage youth to propose initiatives on climate change adaptation to minimize the impacts of natural disasters on vulnerable citizens.

Accordingly, outstanding and feasible initiatives will be included in the Youth Initiatives Programme (AYIP) under the transnational project, “Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network” (ACCCRN), which is being implemented in Danang, Qui Nhon and Can Tho.
The Can Tho Municipal Youth Union said that in recent times, youth have had a number of initiatives to cope with climate change but they cannot access funding to implement these initiatives. The seminar provides a good opportunity for youth to turn their ideas into reality and make the city better.
