” Vu Nang Snail ” Special seafood which is only served on Lao Cham island

Vu nang snail is well-known as a local food of the Central Coast region with its famous name. Vu nang snail’s nacre shell has the spire, like twin breasts of the girls’ puberty; its body is the mixture of green and yellow. But each time it is touched by one’s hands, immediately, it changes into pink.
Far from the center of Hoi An Town about 20 km to northeast, Cham Island is a group of islands including 8 small islands such as: Ong island, Kho Me island, Kho Con island, La island, Tai island, Dai island, Mo island, and Lao island. This group of islands is known as the most unique ecotourism of Quang region.
Wild fairy land
From the center of Hoi An, visitors travel by boat through the villages along the Thu Bon River, passing Cua Dai , watching the Cham island is far beyond . The island looks pristine, but it is quite attractive. Along the asphalted road around the island, visitors  not only enjoy the immense  sky, but also explore the natural world which is diverse and abundant.
Cham island is not large (16 km2) in area, but it seems to that nature is good for this island with full of elements mountains, forests, seas and streams around. The climate is moderate and cool, as a condition for development of flora and fauna, seafood and bird’s nests resources. Especially, the coral and reefs in the island are appreciated; it’s good for tourism development under the sea. Along the roads, visitors can see the rich vegetation, which is home to many valuable and rare kinds like forest products, medicinal and seafood and seafood here is also quite diverse, ranging from rock crabs, pearl , snails to holothurians, lobster and  a bird’s nests is enjoyable much more , quite nutritious and satisfied with many visitors.
Cham Island is not only home to many beautiful beaches, splendid landscapes such as Ba cave, To Vo cave , Bao Gao island , Love stream, and Mo stream but also a place for tourists to explore, and enjoy ancient cultural values of 3,000 years ago, ancient and mysterious feature over 20 ancient buildings: village wells, Hai Tang pagoda, Ong Temple, Ba Temple, and bird’ nests trade village. It is the most evident that the system classified lying rocks from the Hon Lao to the coastal beaches. Stone arrangement is quite special, is created to carry water from the stream upstream of making water and cultivation, with a number of unique constructions used to live in.
